Mitali Pinto serves as Country Director, based out of Kiryabwira Village, Jinja City, Uganda. She has lived there for close to three (3) years and has come to call Uganda home. Mitali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India and a Master’s in Sustainable Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, Boston, MA, USA.

Specializing in sustainable development, Mitali has worked in collaboration with low-income and vulnerable communities in the areas of education, child development, sanitation, food security and microfinance throughout a multitude of private and non-profit organizations in India, USA, Bangladesh and Uganda. Mitali’s hobbies include exploring new cultures, food, and music as well as personal fitness. She is passionate about the creation of more sustainable, economical, and eco-friendly environments while working to end extreme poverty.
