Diane Stern
Diane Stern is the Owner & Chief Executive Office of J&D Ultracare, a pediatric home care agency in Suffern, New York, which she founded in 1985. As a young Neonatal ICU nurse, Diane recognized the lack of adequate home health care services available for the medically fragile pediatric population. Today, more than 30 years later, the company provides thousands of nursing hours per week to a diverse and complex clinical population, employing a highly trained cohort of staff of over 200 RN’s and LPN’s throughout the State of New York.
On one visit to Uganda, Diane was moved by the harrowing testimony of mothers as they went through unsafe and undignified births, often with deadly outcomes for the mother and/or child. As a nurse, like her daughter Brooke, she vowed to do something. She joined her husband, the late Kenneth Stern, in envisioning a time when mothers will one day experience a safe and dignified birth. She composed a song about that vision. Constantly sharing her passion for the S.O.U.L. Foundation, Diane currently serves on the Board of Directors, providing her insights and expertise in fund development. When Diane is not running a company or sharing about S.O.U.L., she is doting over her grandchildren.
