Shaminah Nakitende was born on 19th September 2008 and is currently 16 years old. She studies at Victoria High School in secondary level three (S3) in a boarding section.

She lives in Buyala, a village in Jinja district, Uganda with her parents. There are five children at home. All of her siblings are of a school going age and they all attend school. Her father is a local political leader as well as a secondary school teacher cum small scale farmer. Shaminah loves associating with people of different categories and playing netball in her free time. She hopes to use this opportunity in school to work so hard and her desire is to become a lawyer after completion of school.
