Derick Wamala was born on 20th August 2009 and is currently 14 years old. He is currently in primary level six at Light Nursery and Primary school in a day section.

Derick resides in Kyabirwa, a village in Jinja district, Uganda with both his parents. He has three siblings, one boy and two girls. His father is a local Security Guard but he also manages a small farm with Derick’s mother from which they produce food items for both home consumption and for sale. 

He is a brave boy and he is so interested in playing football during his free time.  He aspires to join the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) as an engineer so as to support the teams that protect the people.
